Position Requirement
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate (appropriate grade level/subject area)
Experience: Teaching, Student teaching, internship, or related experience preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional best practices
Strong classroom management and student engagement strategies
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
Responsibilities and Duties
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and district curriculum
• Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction that meets the diverse learning needs of all students
• Differentiate instruction and provide appropriate accommodations to support individual student success
• Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment that promotes learning
• Manage student behavior in accordance with district policies and expectations
• Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instructional decisions and interventions
• Provide timely and meaningful feedback to students to support academic growth
• Support the academic, social, and emotional development of all students
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
• Communicate effectively and consistently with students, parents, and staff
• Participate in parent conferences, ARDs/504 meetings, and campus activities as required
• Collaborate with colleagues, instructional staff, and administration to improve student outcomes
