Ezzell ISD is a small rural school district in southern Lavaca County with approximately 125 students enrolled in grades PreK -12. Ezzell is providing an innovative education to their students using a hybrid four day school week. The administrator selected for this position will serve as both the campus principal and superintendent and supervise a total staff of 27 employees.

Qualifications: 
The district seeks a candidate who has: 
• a minimum of a Master's Degree, a valid Mid-Management/Principal's Certificate and currently holds a Texas Superintendent Certification or similar certification from another state.The district will also consider a candidate who is actively enrolled in a superintendency certification program with a completion in less than 12 months. 
• the desire and ability to work with others. 
• a working knowledge of budgeting, public school finance and understands the importance of being fiscally conservative. 
• demonstrated strong skills in educational leadership. 
• a strong background in student performance success. 
• integrity and exemplary moral character along with excellent people skills. 
• shown maturity, stability and the willingness to stay in a district at least 3 years. 
• an understanding of rural communities and student needs. 
• high expectations for Ezzell ISD students, faculty, and staff, and the desire to take a great school and make it even better. 
• an ability and desire to mentor other administrators. 
• reputation of being visible on campuses. 
Commercial Driver’s Licence is required or the ability to obtain within the first 12 months of employment.

Salary Range:
Base salary is negotiable commensurate with experience and competitive with like size districts in the regional area. 

Benefits:
The superintendent is provided with the same health insurance and benefits as other professional employees of the district. Reasonable moving expenses may be negotiated.
